There are so many things to think about when you are moving but there are vital steps to take first:

1. Get yourself into the mindset of a buyer, what don’t you want to see when you are looking at a new home? Mend the creaky kitchen cabinets & have a full professional clean (unless you are already a clean freak). Got Pets? Clean the carpets!

2. Don’t neglect the outside! Get your curb appeal right, weed the drive, make sure you don’t have peeling paint & clean the windows! If you can, get a flowering pot or plant for the front.

3. Declutter, declutter & then declutter some more. Trust us, it will be so much easier to unpack if you haven’t taken something you should have gotten rid of before you moved, it will also save you time & money!

4. Think about your ideal buyer: are you moving out of what was a bachelor pad, that became your first nest and now you have kids? Chances are you are going to sell to a single person or a couple just staring out – make it look perfect for them!
